How This Works

Sketch

Every piece is a collaboration between me and you, I hope we can build something beautiful together.
The beauty of the object is as important as the construction, the prettiest flower is kept until the final petal falls.
The first step is meeting (in-person or video conference) to discuss your idea. These meetings typically go for an hour, sometimes longer if we are enjoying the conversation.
Bring as much reference material, dimensions and sketches as possible to fully convey your desire for the final creation.
From this meeting, I produce a sketch and a ballpark price; if everything looks good, we move on to a 3D model.

3D CAD Model

I want you to get exactly what you want, a board for board computer model is the best way for us to understand each other. You put down $50 and I produce a 3D model of precisely what I will build. The model will include every board, joint and hole to the exact dimensions of the final product. I will give you a link to a viewing application where you will be able to look at the item from every angle.
I will do one round of adjustments based on your feedback, after that, it is an additional $50 for up to three more revisions. The only limit to the number of revisions is your pocketbook.
Once you are happy with the design, you will get a final price and rough time estimate.

Construction

After approving the model, you put down half the money and I start building. Any deviation greater than 1 inch from the 3D model will get your approval, again this is a collaboration.
The best I can give you is a rough time estimate, because my priority is quality. If a part does not come out right, my preference is to redo it.
Besides mistakes, my approach is time consuming, I individually pick out every board; the wood grain is as much a part of the appearance as the shape.
The second half of the payment is due upon delivery.

Warranty

You get a lifetime warranty for any piece you buy from me, but it is my lifetime not yours.
If it is a problem with the construction including any crack or joint loosening, let me know and we will figure out a way to make you whole. Whether it is a repair or a replacement is at my discretion, but you will end up with a solid piece.
If the problem was from abuse or mistreatment, then you will need to cover the cost of repairs. I try to keep this as affordable as possible because I want your piece to last a long life.
